NORTH WALES COAST MAINLINE
for MSTS
Begun in 2004, this route is an attempt to replicate in "feeling" the North Wales Coast Line from Crewe
Station in Cheshire to Holyhead in Anglesey using Microsoft Train Simulator. Until recently, the line has
been a mecca for loco-hauled services, with Class 47 locomotives hauling Virgin services from Crewe to
Holyhead (Electric locomotives were used to haul the services to Crewe) and Arriva (Originally a First
North Western service) from Crewe and Manchester to Holyhead. Prior to these, FNW used Class 37s
(leftovers from Regional Railways days) for their Crewe - Holyhead services. These days, the vast
majority or services have been replaced with Voyagers, Class 175s and 158s with the only loco-hauled
services being specials or Virgin Pendolino hauled by Class 57s or the occassional Class 47.

The route was begun in early 2004 and hopefully will be completed in the next year (should be
released with a few surprises!) Currently, this route is being built with default items that "represent" the
buildings on the route with key buildings being added later. If you are interested in assisting, please
see below.

This route is a precursor to a future project called "Railways of North Wales" and will include, along
with the coast line the branches to Almwch and Ffestiniog, the line from Chester to Shrewsbury, the
Border Line and Chester to Manchester. This route should be finished when I'm done.
