NEW STORIES:

Check out George's newest short story, "The Hero Brotherhood," now out in  INSIGHTS: An Anthology of Contemporary Short Stories , an international anthology of modern short stories.

Check out George's short story, "Coronas N Crawfish," now out in  Fedora III: Even More Private Eyes, Even More Tough Guys , an anthology of stories by Mystery Writers of America authors, in Fall 2004. Not a rodeo story, but the hero is a Cajun-Mexican dog and horse trainer.

George also had a rodeo short story, "The Bar B," published in the July issue of American Western Magazine (link below). He also has submitted, upon request, two rodeo stories to two Texas literary anthologies--New Texas and another one that focuses on West Texas short stories. We'll keep you updated on those.

George's first rodeo novel,  "The Texas Rodeo Murder," is now out. It was submitted for an Edgar Award with the Mystery Writers of America and a Spur Award with the Western Writers of America. (Click here to read a synopsis of the novel and find out what people are saying about it.) E-mail him at TEXAS RODEO or call him at 254-498-1140 to order it or just to talk about it. This will be the first in a series of Texas Rodeo mysteries.
